Forest Adventure

Monday 2 December 2013

On Saturday morning Megan and I went to walk at Macritchie from the Venus Drive entrance because I wanted to go on the tree top walk. We never realised that the walk would be so long. It was about 3.5-4km to even get to the bridge, and the whole 7/8km path was just sticky thick mud. Or stairs. So. Many. Stairs. However it wasn't very hot (thank goodness) and most of the path was pretty shady. It was quite pretty at first, it looked very Hunger Games-esque. Oh, there was also a loud echoing banging sound deep inside the forest which sounded exactly like the Hunger Games cannon in the arena and every time it went off Megan and I would laugh. Actually maybe it was more of a please dear God I don't want to die here laugh. After a while, though, it got kinda boring and we were just aiming to get out as quickly as possible (which, btw, was quite difficult because Megan kept sitting down to tweet and instagram)
Anyway, when I got home I just realised that I just took a bunch of photos of trees. Essentially, just trees. I don't even know what I was supposed to be seeing there hahaha #natureexpert #obviously
Yeah.
I'm glad I did it because I've been wanting to try it for a long time, but I'm probably never going to do it ever again.

On a side note, I just made clickable category label thingies at the bottom of the page (I'm inordinately proud of them hahahah)
