Australia 2013 (v) : Hunter Valley Day 2

Wednesday, 22 January 2014

We woke up at three in the morning to catch our hot air balloon ride at sunrise. It was absolutely silent and still dark when we left our hotel, and we drove through the dark on empty streets with no street lamps. All you could hear was the rumble of the road beneath us. The morning was cold and hazy, but as we ascended with the sun, it became gradually brighter and warmer
Gopro attached to the strings. Brilliant.
After the balloon ride, all of us got back in the van feeling super exhausted like we'd been up for ages. The young lady glanced at her watch, and did a double take in surprise. "It's still so early!" We got back to the hotel at 9am, and crashed back into our beds for a few more hours. And then in the late afternoon, we took a short trip to the Hunter Valley Gardens to do some shopping. #ootd!
